Where It All Began
Our story begins with Nigel, who has worked in the communications and technology industry for over 30 years. After starting his career in 1988, he founded Ash Business Services in 1991, which later became ABS Technology.
Over the following years, the company grew into a successful technology provider, supplying IT solutions to businesses across the South of England and employing more than 40 people at its peak. In 2011, after many successful years serving the local business community, Nigel sold the company.
Today, AVAD continues that legacy — combining decades of experience with a modern approach to voice, data, and business connectivity.
The Birth of AVAD
In 2014, following requests from many of his long standing clients to return to the industry, Nigel founded AVAD.
Today, AVAD represents both experience and evolution. Nigel is joined by his sons, George and Harry, who bring fresh ideas, ambition, and a modern outlook to the business. Together, they are focused on growing and expanding AVAD to new heights.
Supporting them are Bob and Aaron, trusted colleagues who previously worked alongside Nigel at ABS. Their knowledge, loyalty, and industry expertise remain a vital part of the company’s strength today.

Based in Surrey, AVAD was created with a clear mission, to modernise business communications through innovative technology, exceptional customer service, and honest, long term partnerships.
